The Ben Gurion University of the Negev's Jacob Blaustein
Institutes for Desert Research invites applications for the Blaustein
postdoctoral fellowship.
The purpose of the fellowship is to sponsor research on
topics related to the sustainable development of drylands for a period of one
to two years. These topics include: desert ecology; solar energy and
environmental physics; architecture and town planning; rainfed and irrigated
agriculture; hydrology; aquaculture; environmental microbiology; desalination
and water treatment; biotechnology.
Researchers from anywhere in the world who have received
their PhD within the last six years are eligible to apply. The fellowship is
worth approximately US$26,000 per year and round trip travel expenses will be
reimbursed. Free accommodation is provided for the period of the fellowship.
